Subject Changes in Western Oriented Strand Board (OSB)

Effective Monday, April 30, 2001, the allowable variation range in quantity of the delivery unit for Western Oriented Strand Board (OSB) will change, beginning with the July 2001 contract.

On Wednesday, April 25, 2001, the July, September and November 2001 contracts will be temporarily delisted, and they will be relisted on Monday, April 30, 2001. Please see the attached Rule Change for further information.

DELIVERY UNIT SIZE VARIATION CHANGED IN WESTERN OSB

The delivery size variation for Western Oriented Strand Board (OSB) delivered against futures contracts has been increased. An amendment to Rule 7304.B for the change is noted below, with additions underlined.

ORIENTED STRAND BOARD FUTURES

7304. PAR DELIVERYB. Variations in Quantity

Variations in quantity of the delivery unit between 95,000 and 105,000 square feet for North Central, South Eastern or South Western and between 95,000 and 125,000 square feet for Western shall be permitted without penalty, but payment shall be made on the basis of the exact quantity delivered.

The amendment is effective beginning on Monday, April 30 for futures contracts beginning with the July 2001 contract month. In connection with this change, the July 2001, September 2001 and November 2001 contract months of Western OSB will temporarily delisted as of April 25 and relisted on April 30, 2001.
